follow the leader

jack and kate are fighting over what is right and wrong about trying to change the future. kate ends up leaving the group and actually gets on the sub with sawyer and juliet. it is sad because sawyer and juliet talk about starting their new lives together and then kate gets on the sub and ruins it as usual. sawyer talks like he is going to try and get them to dock somewhere else other than the port they are supposed to go to so it will be interesting seeing what happens with that. also, jack mrs faraday, richard and now sayid all go to find the hydrogen bomb. i was so happy to see sayid show up because he disappeared for a couple of episodes. he thought that everything was fixed because he was under the impression that he had killed ben, but then kate told him that she brought him to the hostiles and saved him. once they go through the underground tunnels to the bomb, they get there and they dont even know what to do next.

in the future locke gets up and talks in front of all of "his people". he explains to them that he is going to see their leader jacob and wants them all to go with them. he tells sun that he is going to see him so that he can find out how to get back to their people in the past, but then he tells ben that the real reason is because he is actually going to kill jacob. what i dont understand is that i thought jacob was just a ghost that shows up at random times anyways and thats why you can neevr find his cabin, because it is always moving around and not in one place. i think that this is going to go terribly wrong and locke has become way too power hungry. he cannot get rid of their leader and i think that richard and ben will do everything in their power to stop this from happening.

locke in past and present?

this episode continually flips back from past to present but i thought that there was a definite distinction between to two. when locke takes ben and richard on the walk he ends up taking them to the plane that crashed on the island and was filled with heroine. he sounds like he is talking crazy when he tells richard that a man is about to come out of the forest and he will need to heal his gunshot wound and tell him that he needs to die in order to get everyone back on the island. halfway through his story i realize that locke is talking about himself. and just as i realize this locke (in the past..which is confusing) comes out of the jungle just like he predicted. what i dont understand is how he knew this would happen right then and how he went back in time.

in the past daniels mom is preparing to take jack and kate to the dharma initiative to deal with the bomb. hopefully by the time they get back to the camp everyone will have evacuated so they can take care of what they need to do. dr chang, miles dad, finally believes what faraday said to him about being from the future and everyone needing to get off the island. hopefully he will get everyone to evacuate and everything will work out as planned. it also makes me excited that dr chang knows miles is actually his son. im sure that they will have a hard time getting people to evacuate the island and an even harder time getting people to believe them.

h bomb

jack and kate get put in daniels moms tent and she starts questioning them. she explains that this same man, daniel, came to her when she was 17 and told her to bury the hydrogen bomb in the ground. until she says this jack and kate dont think she will believe anything they have to say to her but then they realize that she knows what s going on. danile said both times that he was from the future and this time he told her he was her son. she said that she will do whatever jack tells her needs to be done but people build a village over the bomb. that means that the dharma initiative is living directly on top of where they buried the bomb. im not sure what they are supposed to do because daniel said that they needed to detenate it, but wont that kill everyone? i guess thats why he need everyone to evacuate the island?

meanwhile in the future locke is about to go on a hike with richard and ben, im not sure exactly what the point of it is. all i know t=is that he is trying to get answers on how to go back in time and reach the others. i dont think locke believes richard they everyone is dead, and neither do i. i am curious to see what they do and where they are headed..

episode opener

so in the beginning of this episode it goes back to the dilemma at the campsite where daniel was shot. it shows jack and kate hiding in the bushes and talking when daniel gets shot. when they try to run away and get out of there they are caught by charles widmore. daniels mom realizes what is going on and that they are not with the dharma initiative after all. she finds daniels journal that has a note from her to him in it, and i think that is what convinced her that all this is real. she tells the others to bring jack and kate to her tent. they will be of valuable information to her.

also they show locke showing up at richards camp, 30 years in the future. ben and sun are with him as well and locke says tat he needs to talk to richard and that he has a purpose now. when sun asks richard about her husband jin and everyone else form the plane that was on the island working with the dharma initiative he says that he watched them all die. personally i think that this is a lie to cover things up. its hard for me to believe that the show would take such a huge turn and kill off almost all of the characters..of course even if they did they wouldnt show us forever now that they have 2 time periods to show with thirty whole years of difference in between. what i dont understand is how they are supposed to deal with this time change and if they will ever be able to see each other with this time difference. the rest of this episode is going to give a lot of info and be very dramatic..i can already tell.

daniel is shot..dead or not?

WOOOOOOOOOW! thats all i have to say..i just found out that daniel faraday is charles widmores son..im in complete shock. although as surprised as i am i feel like that is something that i should have known all along. its one of those things that you feel should have been so obvious from the beginning and it makes perfect sense now why she was so weird when she found out that he was the one funding daniels research.

daniel went into the hostiles area to find his mother and he found richard instead. while he was talking to him daniel gets shot from behind and we find out it was by his mother. she did not realize who he was and when he was laying on the ground he says that she sent him back to this island knowing all along that this was going to happen to him. he tells her that he is her son and she believes him and completely regrets shooting him. i am worried because right as the episode ends it looks like he dies. he cannot die because only he knows how to save the island. i am hoping that the island will cure him and maybe they will take him to the temple place to get better.

also i wonder, where is sayid? and where are ben, locke and sun? we havent seen them in many epsiodes now!

variables

jack kate and daniel faraday are all on their way to the hostiles and on the way he finally explains to them what is going on. he explains that the energy that needs to be contained in the swan hatch will be released if he doesnt do something about it, leading to desmond having to push a button every so often, then when desmond forgets the energy is released, which causes the plane to crash on the island, which causes the fraiter to come to the island with daniel on it. he wants to be able to stop this whole chain of events by making a hydrogen bomb. this reminds me of how there is a hydrogen bomb hanging at one place on the island in the future and makes me wonder if that is the same one that he makes now, which i am assuming it is because i doubt they would want to have more than one of those on the island.

also the crazy dharma guys that fired shots at faraday earlier come to sawyers house to find him and tell him what happens and while they are there they find the man tied up in the closet. sawyer and juliet are now in trouble and they are holding them at gunpoint. in the mist of all this everyone else is freaking out and wondering why the alarm has been sounded. im curious to see what will happen next and how this episode will end..

gunfire

daniel apparently was in a depression for a while and was being taken care of by a lady. while he was there charles widmore paid him a visit. this relates back to what he tested on the girl, who i think might have been his ab assistant that he was in love with and dating. they showed this earlier in the season but have not touched on it since. all we know is that he test something on her that went terribly wrong and now she is like a vegetable. he was removed from oxford and now charles widmore wants him to go to the island and do work for him. i didnt understand why he was crying when he saw the oceanic flight in the ocean..it was weird but i guess technically it might be because he met them in his past? its all very confusing.

back on the island everyone is still trying to figure out what to do and then finally they decide to go with daniel to find his mom and the other hostiles. when they are trying to leave they run into some of the dharma workers and they end up getting into a gun fight. faraday was shot in the neck and i am really worried that this will affect his being able to save the island. it made me really sad when he was crying and warned charolette to get off the island. im excited to see what happens once they sound the alarm and realize whats going on. i also wonder how sawyer and everyone else will make their escape..

lots of bad energy

just as i predicted this entire episode is about daniel faraday and its exciting because there is so much that we dont know about him on the show. he is now from the future and he came back for a reason and we now know what that is. he came back to the island to warn everyone and try to evacuate them from the island. he went to the orchard station to talk to dr. chang. miles father, and try to warn him and get him to have everyone on the island evacuated. im havent decided yet if he will think he is crazy or since he does believe in time travel that he will actually listen to him and get everyone off the island. i know if it was me i would look at him like he was utterly crazy as well. in 6 hours everyone could die from the amount of energy that will be released from the drilling that they are doing and kill everyone on the island. what i dont understand is how this did not kill them when they did this before but now it is suddenly a problem?

it showed daniel graduating from oxford and meeting with his mother. she is trying to keep him focused on his "work" and he tells her that he received a grant for his research from charles widmore. he does not realize who this is but his mother knows that widmore is funding this so that he can find a way to get back to the island.  also back on the island sawyer and everyone are trying to figure out a plan for what to do because everything is starting to fall apart. they have considered taking the sub and leaving the island but they decided that they would rather just stay. then faraday comes in at the middle of their meeting and says he needs to know where the hostiles are because his mother is one of them and she is the only one that can help them..this is about to get very interesting!

the episode starts off showing what happens to desmond after he is shot. they take him to the emergency room and while penny and charlie are waiting in the hospital mrs faraday walks up. she tells her that she is the reason desmond was shot but does not say anything about why or how. penny is probably just as confused as i am. then they show whats happening on the island and go back to show daniel faraday arriving on the island and talking to miles. he recognizes miles and starts talking to him again as if he had just seen him days before. he seems to be rushing and in a hurry to talk to jack and figure out how they all got back on the island. he then tells jack that his mother was wrong when she told them it was their destiny to go back and they dont belong there. it makes me think that she sent them back because she knew they would die when they got rid of dharma initiative and then they would no longer be a threat to her or keeping the secrecy of the island??

some will stand and fight

the episode that will air tonight will be the 100th episode for lost! i watched the reviews for this episode and it looks like it will be very intense. faraday is now back on the island and trying to get people to evacuate the entire island. im assuming this because he is traveling through time and knows that the dharma initiative is eventually killed off by the others. i am assuming this is why he came back to the island. the previews showed that the dharma initiative was under some kind of attack. im sure they think that faraday is crazy for coming onto the island and making all these claims about needing to evacuate. i wonder if this will save miles' father from dying because they said at first that you cant change what happened in the past because whatever happened, happened. because a few episodes ago they realized that if that was true then why didnt ben recognize sayid initially when he got off the plane as the same man that shot him as  child. this is very intriguing and im sure something crazy will happen and they will end up saving most of the dharma initiative, or at least the ones who are smart enough to listen to faraday. i think that jack will be back in charge when all of this happens and it will make sawyer look bad. they all know what is eventually going to happen to the dharma initiative so they better leave the island when they have a chance. i think that this is going to be a very dramatic episode and i am afraid that either one of the main characters will die or somehow get left behind. but knowing lost they will drag out this dilemma for at least a couple more episodes...

theories

lost was a re-run this week which was thoroughly disappointing. it annoys me when they put in filler episodes to stretch out the seasons. the curiosity is killing me right now. i want to know how locke is going to run the island and i want the next episode to be devoted to him so that we can start to figured out where all his crazy ideas come from and maybe even try to understand his rationale for things. it is hard for me to believe that ben is going to become a follower and have to do whatever locke says in order to survive on the island.

i also want an episode to be dedicated to daniel faraday because there is still so much that we dont know about him. we know that his mother is basically in charge of the whole island and she is the reason the others were able to go back to the island. also the red headed archaeologist claimed that when she was younger daniel was their leader. this relates back to how at the very end of the last episode daniel comes out of the sub- in the 70s time period. i know that he does a lot of time traveling because he is an experienced and extremely intelligent physicist but he never sees to age so i cant figure out if he is just time traveling or if he is like ethan and never ages. plus it was confusing that when he got off the sub in the 70s period he recognized one of the survivors as if it was a conversation in present time??

even more about this episode..

ben's dad is starting to question what really happened to him. he thinks that someone took him from the hospital bed while juliet and kate had left the room for a few minutes leaving him alone. the show comes off to make him look clueless but when kate tries to comfort him he starts to think that she has something to do with ben's disappearance, when in all actuality he is right. early in the episode sawyer tells miles, who works in security, to erase the tape of him and kate taking ben to the others. right as miles was going to do it, horsch the head leader made him go on his mission of delivering the dead body. since he never took the tape out the other security guy shows up at sawyers house to tell him he knows who took ben. when the man blames sawyer, sawyer punks the man and ties him up. this is when they start to realize that they did not properly cover their tracks and a big uproar is about to take place. i dont think that sawyer really knows what he is going to do next, and his leadership skills are about to be tested. i am so curious to see what is going to happen when the security guy goes missing now also. they could easily blames it on the others but im not sure they will.

on another note, i am glad that they showed last episode how ben got alex. we always knew he stole her from the french woman but im glad they showed us exactly how. and..i was confused wen he was with a young boy named ethan? is that horsch's son that they named ethan? because it obviously isnt the older ethan who seems to never age or die and is in charge of the others...?

some like it hoth

in this episode we find out a lot about miles. we find out that he has always had his power of talking with the dead since he was a young child. we learn how he grew up with just his mother and he never really knew much of his father because he left them when he was a little boy. miles grew up hating his dad and taking money from people by pretending to talk to their lost relatives. eventually naomi who works for charles widmore approaches him about coming to the island for 1.6 million dollars. he accepts and then gets abducted and the people tell him that he is working for the wrong people and needs to be with them. this really confused me because they did not elaborate on this and just moved on after it. miles later realizes that his dad is the head scientist on the island and the man who is in all of the dharma videos giving instructions on how to work things in the different stations. he gets to know his dad some and actually sees himself as a child with his dad and realizes that his dad did love him and spend time with him. he finally starts to appreciate him and wants to help him.

also, miles becomes part of the circle of trust which meant that he had to pick up a package which consisted of him carting around a dead guy in a body bag. he is not allowed to ask questions and luckily sense he can talk to dead people he finds out what happened to him but his death doesnt really make much sense. also, hurley finds the body in the back of the van and was threatened by mile's dad to never tell anyone what he saw. i am curious to see how this story line plays out..

dead is dead

this was an interesting episode when suddenly on the island everyone who you thought was dead is not. the episode was mainly about ben and revealed a lot of things that we didnt know about him before like how he was brought up on the island, how he got alex, and his hatred for charles widmore. this episode was only about the plane victims, adding new characteristics and more drama to the show. i wish they would have devoted some of the episode the the main characters that are in the 70s at the dharma initiative. it is getting hard to keep up with both story lines. also ben was judged in this episode by the smoke monster. although i thought the island should have killed him off for all the bad things he has done, i knew that he couldnt possibly die at this part of the show so i was not the least bit worried. it was weird seeing alex alive again although i do not think that she was, i think it was just a ghost like figure reminding him of his past. i hope that he does not kill john locke again and does what alex tells him and listens to locke even though i know he is going to have to bite his tongue over it.

ben is not dead, but gone to the others

so i caught up on 2 more episodes since my last post and the first ended with ben being shot by sayid. the whole episode was about sayid and his purpose on the island and it should have been so obvious to me what that purpose was. ben trusts sayid as a child and sayid knew he could easily manipulate him. my jaw literally dropped when sayid shot ben at the very end. it would change everything and because i was so in shock i though that ben was dead. although it showed in the past episode that he was not dead but barely living. jack refuses to operate on him and kate gets mad and donates her own blood to give to young ben. when they realize that they cannot help ben where they are they decide to take him to the others. they bring him to ethan and he says that if he takes him now things will never be the same. ben is now with the others so the present still makes sense but i wonder what will now happen to the dharma initiative? originally they were wiped out by ben after he killed his father, but at this point ben's father and the entire dharma initiative still exist. the others will have to come up with a new plan of action. i am quite curious to see what they do next and i especially want to see who they blame for stealing the janitor keys and letting the hostile escape!

everyone is coming back

so i am a little behind in the episodes and i am trying to catch back up. the episode i just watched was about the oceanic 6 getting back to the island. it was an interesting episode that had a lot going on. it started off by showing us more scenes from the plane ride where they come back to the island. i am confused how the pilot knows everyone and i am curious to see what he and sun will have to go to find the others. the reason why no one saw the plane crash on the island is because it happened in present time, whereas they were looking in the past. the show is starting to get very confusing. the pilot and sun end up meeting christian sheppard who is jack's dad and he says he will tell them how to get to gin and their friends and that it will be a long journey. i am very interested to see how they will go back in time, but knowing this show they will find a way to make it happen. also, jack kate and hurley are all living in the barracks with dharma initiative and were assigned jobs. as for sayid, he was captured as a hostile an they do not know what to do with him yet. it was interesting to see sayid meet ben as a child although i am not sure if he realized that is what happened. i think that jack realized that sawyer and juliet are now together and jack does not know what to do with himself now that he is not in charge. the next episode should be interesting and i am sure they will make the next few episodes about how sun and the pilot will travel back in time..but i wonder what will happen with ben?

Thursday, March 12, 2009

no episode this week but i still have so many questions about last weeks episode..what will happen with sawyer and kate? will he choose kate or juliet? what will jack do? when is ben oing to wake up from being sick or he is dead? what happened to sun and will jin ever get to see her again? where is aaron and where did he disappear to? big question: is aaron special in relation to the island?

i am still so curious about a lot of things and im sure that they will not be answered in the next episode because they keep stretching them out and like this week not even having an episode. i actually like how they are set in a different time now because it puts a new spin on the show but it is frustrating that i feel like we are not moving forward with our knowledge in the show, but backward. im excited to see what they reveal next week.

where are they now?

so last night's episode was quite interesting. whatever john locke did by turning the wheel stopped all the flashes. since the flashes stopped that means that whatever point in time they are in is where they will now stay. they realize later in the episode that they are in the 70s when the dharma initiative was still living there. they flip back and forth between 3 years of time, which is how long it has been since the others left the island. sawyer is now head of the dharma initiave, behind the guy with long hair, and has moved on with his life. all the survivors left have now integrated themselves into the dharma community and sawyer makes the main focus to find the others when they come back. sawyer ends up falling in love with juliet, which i totally called as soon as kate left. the others end up returning to the island at the end of the episode which does not really make sense to me because they are like 30 years or more behind in time. when sawyer sees kate he is taken aback which makes me really mad because kate just got back with jack the night before they came back to the island. will locke ever be able to find them and is he not dead anymore? and whats the deal with ben and why has daniel gone crazy??

is john dead or not?

Last night's episode revealed a lot of info on john locke. In the last few episodes we have thought he was dead because he was said that it was his mission to get the others to come back to the island and the only way he could do that is by dying. ben has been carting his coffin with his "dead" body in it all of los angeles. i have always been skeptical of john's death because he is such a huge part of the show and is supposed to be the leader of the island. i'm really confused on why ben freaked out and killed john when john said that he was supposed to go find elowese. i think that ben got jealous of john because she has always ben the person that ben has to answer to, and now john has taken his place. i tried not to trust charles whitmore too much in this episode and admit i was even feeling a bit sorry for ben, but after i saw what he did to john i found myself siding with whitmore. when i saw that guy in the beginning of the episode that ended up schoffering locke around, i knew something bad would come of it. that guy creeps me out because he is always showing up randomly throughout the show, like when he showed up at the mental institution with hurley a while ago and scared him away talking about some mysterious job working with oceania airlines. i was super suprised when he got shot because he had a pretty important role in the show, working for whitmore. back with more theories soon..

more questions..

The last episode was a little disappointing. For the most part, I think it was a filler episode to stretch the season out. They showed us how they got back on the island which was interesting but I would be okay with just knowing that they got back and continuing forward with the story line. I was talking to one of my friends and he described it best by saying "it's like the writers keep taking one step forward and one step back". This is very true and has gotten to be very frustrating. They did reveal that somehow they got everyone to go back when we though it was just Ben, Jack, and Sun. I'm still very curious about Faraday's mother and how long she has been in charge. Both Mrs. Faraday and her son Daniel bring a lot of mystery and questions to the show. It makes me wonder how long they have both been alive since the archaeologist said Daniel was on the island when she was younger as a man. I'm anxious for Wednesday to see if Gin and Sun meet up!

red-headed archaeologist?

This week's episode was super dramatic. Suddenly the flashes of time travel were making everyone go crazy and get the nose bleed. The craziest part of the episode was when the archaeologist admitted that she knew things about the island because she grew up there. She didn't tell Daniel until right before she died and that frustrates me because she could have been helping the others out all this time. Also, it totally freaked me out when she said that the mean man that she was scared of with she was little was Daniel. I thought that he might have been there before also but I would have never guessed that the reason that Faraday's mom could help bring the others back was because she is one the head leaders of the island! Halfway through the episode it clicked that she was the one they were going to see because I knew she was Ben's boss and did not live on the island like the rest of them. I'm very interested to see how they are going to get back o the island and how it's going to work since not everyone is going back.

new season, new questions

Hey fellow Lost Fanatics!
I can't seem to get enough of this show and I definitely watch it religiously. Most people don't like the show because they say it's too hard to follow or it's too crazy but that's what I love about it. I have seen every episode and they are always crazy and jam-packed with new information and clues, but lately they have been revealing a lot in each episode. Last season's finale left many people, as well as me, completely shocked when the island disappeared and now they are time traveling back and forth through time..it's hard to think of what could possibly happen next. I can't wait to see what happens this week because Sun is starting to seem really sketchy and I know she is up to something. I know she is trying to get back at Ben by getting information out of Whitmore but I don't think she will kill him when he tells her that Jin is still alive..which by the way I always thought he was alive and was so happy to see him show up in the last episode. Which reminds me, how are Gin and Danielle and her French scientist crew just now meeting?? How did Jin travel back 16 years to meet her if he hasn't been on this island the whole time and floating around in the ocean? So many questions to be answered..we will see what does on Wednesday's episode!
